BFC Bras help raise money for Cancer Research

“Hello Suz,

I wanted to send you some pictures of the breast cancer aprons I made for a large bowling tournament held this  July 29, 2016 in Huston, Texas.  I donated these to an amazing foundation that gives 100% to cancer research.  Being a 2 yr breast cancer survivor I wanted to give back a little to the people responsible for raising the funds that have made it possible for me to be here today.  The Aprons were such a huge success.  The aprons were auctioned off in the middle of tournament.  The gentlemen modeling them were such good sports, and they raised over 500.00.  I have gotten request for me to make a few additional.  I hope to see in my lifetime a cure for this type of cancer, for all cancer really.

Char”

Thank you Char for such a wonderful use of my designs.  Congratulations on a real successes – the aprons for charity and the best, your surviving breast cancer.    Suz

Jo Anne’s Recent Projects

“Hi Suz,

Photos attached of the Stained Glass and a table runner from some of your free designs.  Hope they are clear.

Jo Anne”

I love the Table Runner made with free designs – great job Jo Anne.  The Stained Glass came out beautifully too.  ……Suz

Especially for me

After creating designs for the website for over 14 years, I occasionally want to do something I want.  LOL  That is how the current Myth and Mystery Lady came to be.  I saw her and just had to create a design like her.  It’s funny, I must not have popular likes and dislikes as usually the designs I like the best don’t sell.  LOL  Hmmm… Maybe I should wonder about that.  No – probably best I don’t.   I will just enjoy her hanging on my wall.

Unique Critters

I’ve always loved unusual looking animals, birds – any wildlife.  I came across these two photos.  The first is of Nubian vultures but I can’t find  out what the second one is.  I would love to know!  I have this awful feeling I want to make designs of both of these critters.  No one might buy them, but they would sure be fun to do!  I can see these on backs of jackets – imagine the looks going on behind you!

I did some searching and found another photo of this bird – but again, it doesn’t say what it is!  LOL

FOUND IT! – and you were close Donnely, a Reddish Egret (Egretta Rufescens)

BFC 13th anniversary quilt top finished!

Frieda finished her quilt top.  The colors are amazing – the quilt looks so different and rich!  Frieda used Vicki Parnell’s instructions.

From Frieda:

“Here’s a picture of the Quilt on my bed (also made a pillow to match) and a close up picture. I really love your designs, and absolutely love this quilt.

Thanks again for your generosity!

Frieda  (Btw, the Quilt made a Grand Champion at last year’s Fair)”

Circle Quilt

“I am so excited about this quilt – have got all 10 blocks made up and just waiting for the last two.   I am going to be using 4 of the block as doubles for a total of 16 blocks,  and have used the Jumbo size designs.   I will try to send a pic of the completed quilt once it is finished.    It has been a lot of fun doing this one – I usually don’t get this done quite so fast, but really am excited to see it complete….    Thank you for the beautiful designs – I know how much extra work it is for you to offer these.    They really are beautiful…

Kathleen”
