Susan’s Christmas Cactus

Hi Suz – please find pictures attached of how I used the christmas cactus design – I love it! This is a gift for a colleague who loves growing cacti and succulents.

Kind Regards. Susan

This is so cute Susan!!!  Embroidery Hoops make great frames for embroidery.   They come in all styles and sizes – from plastic to wood, to metal and more.  They also come in all colors.  I was amazed at what is available now when i last went to look for one!

Laura’s Christmas Tree

Hi Suz,   Enclosed as promised, picture of the BFC1384-17 QIH Christmas Tree.   Glad I chose the middle sized ornament – the small would have been even more of a nightmare to trim round!   I’ve yet to get rid of the last bits of washaway around the edges by using a paintbrush/sponge.   The washaway on the back can stay.   Probably will use this to make a Christmas card.

It’s a lovely design, so I’ll look for some glitter fabric to make a larger tree.

Best wishes, Laura

Jacqueline’s Towel (Pocket ) Topper

From Jacqueline:

My first draft of a kitchen towel using the pocket topper – top is a quilted black, the plaid is cloth, and the backing of the plaid is black terry cloth. The second one will be better – i make something for the Bell Choir at church every year for Christmas

Great idea jacqueline!  I never thought of anything other than pockets. 🙂

Christmas Tree on Christmas Tree Skirt

I tried to post these pictures to the yahoo group, but it would only accept one picture. Then I saw your email with my name, but I haven’t seen it on the site.  How do I post it?

I have really enjoyed making this large embroidery design.  I  am in a group who does machine embroidery. We choose to do the tree to practice precise positioning. Numerous people used this design on their own Christmas tree skirt.  No two Christmas tree or tree skirts were alike cause each one of chose our background fabric (silk duponi), thread colors for tree, decorations on the embroidered tree, and other designs added to the Christmas tree skirt.  It was fun doing and finished in plenty of time for Christmas.

Thanks,

Train Christmas Tree Skirt

Hi Suz,

Thank you for sending me the train set again. I have included 2 pictures of the skirts.  The single skirt is the one I finished today for my nephew and the other one is his kids when they got their skirts last year.  As you can see it was easier to fold the skirts in half so all 6 trains would show but not take up all of the den.

Anne

These are really gorgeous!  Pop Butler would love them!!!!  If you haven’t seen the pictures of Anne’s father, please go to the train set page.  You can see him and read a little about him.  He’s  definitely part of history! Suz
