Agnes’ Stitches for her Church

From Agnes:  They brought tears to Monsignor Mitas’s eyes and I never expected that reaction.  When I gave him the Easter one in Holy Thursday, the reverence with which he held the parament was something to be witnessed.  That is how powerful these designs are.

Laura’s Elephants

Laura had a lot of trouble in the beginning getting this design lined up.  But I was shocked when she sent me the photo and it came out so beautiful!  I think she was doing a lot better than she thought. 🙂  Thank you Laura for making my design look so great!

From Laura,

Well, here is the finished product from my almost nervous breakdown!  Thank you again for all your help with BFC 445, Touch of India II.  It’s a “Happy” wall hanging, full of beautiful colors.  I added lots of crystals and unique outline quilting.  The fabric I found at our local quilt shop, Creative Sew Threads, here in Elkhart, Indiana.  I think the fabric complemented the design perfectly.

I did some closeups so you can see the details.

I like the quilting – you can see some of it better her.

Laura’s “Frost on the Pumpkin”

In this case there really is Frost on the Pumpkin:

I wanted to show you my latest finished project.   This is a door decoration for a friend of mine in assisted living.  My mission in life is to add a bit of color to her really colorless life right now.   I told her I would make her a new piece of art work for every changing season. Of course, your design is wonderful, and to give it my own touch, I glitterized it with holographic fabric paint.  Sew, in actually, there is now frost on your pumpkins!  Thanks again for everything you and Fred do.  Until next time,

Laura

This is a great way to showcase a wall hanging on a door.  You make one too.  A strip of fabric the color of a branch, (twisted and tied), a real branch, an artificial branch – there are lots of options.  Great job Laura.

Laura’s Poppies

Finished up your poppy design.  It’s for a friend in an extended care facility.  I know it will brighten up her rather dull days.  Fairy Frost is the background for the embroidery, and the purple batik plays with it so well!  It really brings the lavender poppy to life.  Thanks again for your great designs.  Laura

Love  the purple!  You are so right – that really sets off the whole picture.  Your friend will love having it to brighten up her space  Suz

Sophie’s Tiger Jacket

Hi Suz!

I just wanted to share my progress on this design. I’m absolutely in love with it! Now that I have worked out the formatting haha. I’m so sorry, you must think I’m rather daft. I understand the formatting now, I won’t have any questions in the future.

It stitches out so beautifully without one single hitch. Not one thread break which I find incredible considering the level of detail! I’ve still got a few more things to add to the overall design but I’ve already had a lot of comments on the tiger. I haven’t made anything for myself for ages, this one is really special.

I will definitely be stocking up on more of your designs, I have a wish list as long as my arm!     Sophie

Your jacket is just beautiful Sophie.  I love the contrast of the tiger and the flowers – strength and beauty.  Suz

Laura’s Steampunk Hats

Thought you would like to see what I did with your Steampunk Hats.  My twin 12 year old twin grandsons just  moved into a new home and for the first time have their own bedrooms. So i made them each a housewarming gift.  The rust color is Fairy Frost.  I’m not sure of the brand of the map fabric. I really like how the two fabrics work together. I love how the maps go so well with the steampunk theme.  Thanks so much for your unique designs. …..Laura

You  are very welcome Laura!  You won my heart with these delightful wall hangings.  I too love the fairy frost with the map print.  It gives a very vintage, but bright look.
