Sharon’s Jacket with Freebies

For this project I wanted to use the bird so I choose a second decorative design to go with it. For the back of the jacket I scattered the decorative design around the bird to give it a frame, I love how it turned out! I added the bird to the top of the left sleeve and a group of the decorative design to the bottom of the right sleeve. The jacket is black denim with a golden yellow shoulder detail so I stitched the designs in a matching thread. The embroidery has definitely made this jacket unique and trendy. The jacket pattern is McCartney Jacket by Shwin Designs, I did do the sleeve slightly different than the pattern.

Susan’s Sleep Masks

I have a template which fits my face, and I embroider a design onto either
velveteen or satin (all of these were velveteen as satin does not always
photograph well). After embroidering the design, I put the backing on – I
use what I have been told is quilters flannel for the backing, and if I am
making the mask for use in winter, I have a layer of wool batting between
the velveteen and the flannel. Only one of these masks had the batting, as
again the batting does not help with photography. The final part of the
template outlines the holes for the elastic and finishes off the mask. I
have to punch the holes, and then thread the elastic and sew it down
manually.

Mary’s Cowboy Boots

Thanks for offering a great sale tomorrow. As I was loading up my cart I came across these boots that I have never seen before. Gorgeous! I make little purses out of recycled denim jeans and Ultrasuede and the girls love the cowgirl boots.

Jan’s Garment Bag

Hi Suz, it’s done:Pure Drama – The Large Venetian Mask paired with a couple of designs from Scrolls of Gold stitched on fabric & then attached to a garment bag at the top & sides only – bottom is loose, like the flap on a trench coat.

Jan makes shoe bags and puts one of Sally shoes on them! What a great idea. Suz

Attaching some pics of shoe bags. They are fully lined with a dividing panel in the middle so that the 2 shoes don’t scratch each other. Have given away at least a dozen (each one is different). Will have to make some new friends as I still enjoy making them. Jan

Barbara’s Wings take off!

My other embroidery machine took a nose dive in the middle of a dream catcher and I had to cover it. I made this patch with the BFC31431 design and saved the jacket. I loved the way it sewed out.

My daughter wanted a panel on her jean jacket, too. This one was done on purpose, LOL. I bought and used BFC thread suggested on the color sheet and the wonderful pattern BFC31435. I love BFC thread, as you can see it and the pattern file sew out beautifully.
