Hello Suz,

Thank you very much for the threads chart, I printed out and get thing ready for stitching.  I am very honor that you post my pictures.

Some of these pictures are a little better than previous one.

The Rock Point Bridge was my very first put together as  a title design.

The New England Charm was my second title design, when I put together I sprayed water at the seams, that make it very soft and pliable, easy to sew.

A Jazzy Handbag by Mary

Hello Suz,

I have finished my bag using your designs, and I’m pretty pleased with it as it is my first bag ever! I’ve replace the black outlines as I said with metallic copper thread, and the white swirls in the Saxophone with light gold thread.

When I next do a handbag, I will place my designs higher up to take more account of the amount of fabric that goes under with the base. I hope the photos are good enough, though I can take more tomorrow if you would like better ones.

Thank you so much for the prompt response and education. I didn’t know about stabilizer shrinkage.

Actually, for the bag project, the girl didn’t  turn out unsalvageable, (see pic) I just wanted it as perfect as could be and to find out better techniques for future use as that design is so awesome and I will use it again. The other side, on the bird design from Urban Threads that I incorporated with yours, actually the puckering was worse, like I mentioned especially after ironing. I love the fractilicious designs and should have used a brighter color on the birds as well but always next time.

I’m gonna try the Black and White large Elephant on cork next I think for a bag panel. I downloaded the DST single design to my Janome AcuDesign and it converted it to jef format, I just have to resize and fix the colors in the download as they are all wonky and are confusing when embroidering gray and the machine says to use yellow!

I am so excited I joined the Janome 15000 FB group and then became aware of your website from your offer of the contest with the mask. Thank you for your generous offer of the half price designs too! I am a true fan of the designs and your excellent customer service is the icing on the cake. As an FYI, Fred had also contacted me prior to sending my thread order to verify address, such great service, you should be proud as a lot of companies are not so inclined or pay attention to detail.  Judy

Donna’s Under the Sea

Donna did a beautiful and very decorative Under the Sea Wall Hanging. I asked her about whether she had quilted through to the backing and this is her response:

I inspected and did not do any quilting after I put the backing on. It is loose. There was already so much stitching on the top that I did not do anymore There was fusible fleece under the top when I did all the stitching on it. Donna

I think this is fine for large heavy wall hangings! Especially when you have added things like beads, buttons, shells and crystal. If after finishing you project, the backing seems too loose, just ad a few hand stitches here and there to hold it in place.

I have so enjoyed doing these squares and loved each and every one of them … thank you ever so much.

I finished putting this all together last night and though it isn’t perfect (arthritic hands etc. ) its my project and I love it.

Hi Rosemary – They look beautiful!  What a great idea.  I like the gold fabric with them and that is a really pretty quilt hanger! 

Thank you for your kind words, I just so enjoyed doing these squares and couldn’t wait for the next one to appear, you probably didn’t see it but in each square I used a metallic thread and it looks great.

I can almost wallpaper my home with wallhangings!!! Each one having their own personality!!!

My Snowy Egret Project

I’ve wanted to do a wall piece with the Snowy Egret (BFC0686) for a long time but wasn’t sure what I wanted for the background.  Then my daughter sent me a photo (attached) that she took on her vacation, and I was inspired!  Her Christmas present  this year is a wall quilt (photo attached).  In addition to BFC0686, I also used foliage bits from BFC1248, FBFC427, and a couple of designs from other digitizers. The large branches and the foliage background are raw-edge applique. I’ve never done a quilt before, so I learned many things!  But not how to do good pictures, since the quilt is actually quite squared off.

I purchased your designs and have attached 3 pictures of what I did with them.

My daughter requested that I do a group of rose design(s) on the shoulder moving forward  and another design opposite side at bottom, in which I made a 90 degree corner design.  Just

sharing.  My daughter furnished the tunic top, in which to me is quiet thin… I used the stabilizer X2 in thickness that I place under baby ones’ees for the purpose of non-scratching.  To me still not the greatest.  My daughter (no matter what) will love this.
