Hi Suz, Enclosed as promised, picture of the BFC1384-17 QIH Christmas Tree. Glad I chose the middle sized ornament – the small would have been even more of a nightmare to trim round! I’ve yet to get rid of the last bits of washaway around the edges by using a paintbrush/sponge. The washaway on the back can stay. Probably will use this to make a Christmas card.
It’s a lovely design, so I’ll look for some glitter fabric to make a larger tree.
Best wishes, Laura

Hello Sue,
Just thought I would email you a couple of pics of my quilt, using your wonderful designs. I am a friend of Vicki Purnell, she only lives a good stones throw from me. I have made several of her wonderful quilts, using your designs. The fabric is mostly batik, unfortunately I cannot remember the particular name of it. Something like Lemon………..? It has been waiting to be quilted for quite a while and I finally got around to doing it a couple of weeks ago.
Bye for now, & thank you for being so generous with your designs.

Here are 2 photos of my thread storage hubby made for me.
4 drawers each have 36 pegs to hold thread.
5th drawer is for storage.
I love my cabinet.
Hope it gives ideas for those looking for information.
Hugs, JoAnn (Wisconsin)

Hello Suz,
Attached is a picture of candle wraps, sewn on tulle, that I made using designs from your 13th Anniversary set in 2016. They are perfect for this idea for stitching on tulle because they are fill stitches.
They look great Faye and such an easy but unique gift! Suz

These are also available as singles – scroll down on the above page to the related designs.
Hi Suz, finally completed the 29 pieces. I did change a couple of things which may be useful to others too. I was able to purchase heavy weight black stabiliser/ interfacing, one side adhesive which helped. Also med.weight black stabiliser for sewing out. This meant that when the satin stitch edge was carefully cut neither is evident. Also used a little fray stopper around the edges for loose small frays on the edge. I put a small circle of adhesive Pell on in the centre as the curves were a little crinkly, and was able to quilt these pieces to smooth out a bit.
A challenging work but pleased with the result.
Would you tell me if YOU digitised the design so that I can acknowledge your work when/if I am able to enter it in Canberra Quilter’s exhibition. It might not be til next year with the current corona virus situation.
Colleen
Great idea about the black stabilizer!

Howdy! Happy Spring-ish. It’s 60 plus degrees in Indiana today, and supposed to snow next week. I always feel really sad for all the early blooming flowers this time of year, ’cause you never know if they will make it to real spring or freeze trying. With all that said, I want to show you a picture of Spring that we don’t ever have to worry about. Thank you for your beautiful IRIS FIELDS. The only liberty I took outside of your color list was to use a variegated green in place of the Light Lime. I really like how it turned out. It reminds me of fresh cut lawn grass. I hope you approve. Thanks again,
As I have all sizes of threads and a couple different brands including BFC’s for me having them up on a pegboard is best. I keep a towel over them to keep the dust off, I’ve labeled them so I know where each spool goes once I’m done with them. I’ve done this for all my threads putting them closest to the machine that uses them. THis pic was taken before I collected all of BFC’s threads but you get the idea. I added BFC’s where I had the stablilizers on the wall.

The cutest dragons, ever! This is my latest wall hanging. As you can see, I added some crystals to the finished designs. Might I suggest to anyone that wants to use these designs on dark fabric to use an opaque, vinyl, topper under the moon part of the embroidery designs. I did not and as you can see, the dark background fabric bleeds through. Also, I used gold, metallic thread as the outline stitches because black thread did not show up against the dark background fabric.
Thanks again for these wonderful, smile producing designs. Until next time,
Laura

Had to share….
One layer stiff organza, two layers Vilene, rayon thread. Melted edges of organza. One window showed to much reflection but it is great! Making for the whole family to decorate for fall. LOVE your designs!
Thanks, Laura
