Elizabeth’s Quilt

Hello Sue,

Just thought I would email you a couple of pics of my quilt, using your wonderful designs.  I am a friend of Vicki Purnell, she only lives a good stones throw from me.  I have made several of her wonderful quilts, using your designs.  The fabric is mostly batik, unfortunately I cannot remember the particular name of it.  Something like Lemon………..?  It has been waiting to be quilted for quite a while and I finally got around to doing it a couple of weeks ago.

Bye for now, & thank you for being so generous with your designs.

Colleen’s Graceful Vase

Hello Suz

Well I did complete the wall hanging of Graceful Vase.  Have to say that I really should have repeated the top six silk blocks too as they are very slightly narrower than the others which I completed on cotton.  Was very determined and from a distance it doesn’t look too bad, especially if the ‘looker’ is not an embroiderer or quilter.

Thanks for the help

Colleen –  I like the long rod – it balances the wall hanging really nicely.  Suz

Sunny’s Gorgeous Asian Quilt

I’ve attached two jpgs of a quilt I made last year for our local quilt show.  It contains a Geisha panel and six Geisha heads from your sets, and on the back is a set of larger Samurai warriors.  It won second place in the wall hanging category!  It hangs with a bamboo rod.

I can really see why this quilt won a prize!

Jan’s Beautiful Work!

Jan has been a customer and friend for a long time.  I was so happy to hear from her on my Yahoo Group! She writes:

“Hi Suz,

I am still using many of your picture designs – love doing them.  This past 9 months has been a tough time for Marty and I.  He had 4 major cancer surgeries removing a kidney, tumor, bladder and prostate.  But after going through all this he is back in his pulpit preaching, helping with our golden retriever kennel and mowing 2 acres of lawn.  God has certainly blessed us and answered prayers.

Here are some pictures – mostly the older ones.  People who come to my studio just love them.

Jan ”

I think my favorite picture is to see Jan in her studio among her projects! Suz

Cindy’s Projects

From Cindy: “I thought you might like to see “shades of tangled animals.”I was thinking of entering it in a quilt contest.  I don’t know which one, but I would give credit to BFC for the embroidery art.

Would that be OK? ”

It certainly would be OK Cindy!  I love this quilt.  The animals really show up so well with the colors chosen.

Good luck in the contest Cindy!  Let us know 🙂

Cindy’s other project is one Of Ching Chous pictures.  A beautiful addition to the room.  The border sashing goes so well with the embroidery.

Lace Bowl and Seed Packet Quilt

Hi,  Can you please post these pics for me.  This basket was the hardest one I have ever done and as you know I have done a few, why I don’t know.

Also the quilt I finished last night.  love the way you seed packs came out.  They look real.  I will be doing one with the vegie packs and maybe I will use this pattern if I can find some vegie fabric.

Thanks for posting for me.

BFC 13th anniversary quilt top finished!

Frieda finished her quilt top.  The colors are amazing – the quilt looks so different and rich!  Frieda used Vicki Parnell’s instructions.

From Frieda:

“Here’s a picture of the Quilt on my bed (also made a pillow to match) and a close up picture. I really love your designs, and absolutely love this quilt.

Thanks again for your generosity!

Frieda  (Btw, the Quilt made a Grand Champion at last year’s Fair)”

Circle Quilt

“I am so excited about this quilt – have got all 10 blocks made up and just waiting for the last two.   I am going to be using 4 of the block as doubles for a total of 16 blocks,  and have used the Jumbo size designs.   I will try to send a pic of the completed quilt once it is finished.    It has been a lot of fun doing this one – I usually don’t get this done quite so fast, but really am excited to see it complete….    Thank you for the beautiful designs – I know how much extra work it is for you to offer these.    They really are beautiful…

Kathleen”
