Attached is a picture of my “Shoe” quilt which was in the Bennington Quiltfest show September 19 & 20, 2026. I love the finished quilt and am already planning my 2027 Shoe quilt. Many, many thanks for such beautiful embroidery! Oh Suz, I’m honored to have it on your blog! I had so much fun making the quilt/blocks and really talked it up during our show. t’s hanging in my living room where I can enjoy it every day.
By the way, I have all of the Sally King shoe designs you have made. Today I double check to see if you have added any new ones. And yes, there are a few of you haven’t created (yet). I spent some time in the Spring comparing Sally’s pdf to the designs I had and found a few I was missing – and quickly corrected that! I took some pictures of different blocks. I’m not saying they are my favorites because every time I worked on a new/different block, that one became my favorite. Each shoe is embroidered on different beige material and most of the embroidery was completed using BFC thread. I’m saying most as there are some colors I do not have (like black or white). Again, thank you for creating such beautiful embroidery designs!.
