“Suz, Here is the finished lap quilt using your Kachina dolls… Peter”
Peter made a fantastic quilt with Fred’s Kachina Doll designs. Really impressive Peter!
Michael finished his sweatshirt – yes, this is my favorite 🙂
From Michael:
“I’m working on you Paisley Peacock Bag for my wife. Your pictures do not do justice to the beauty of the embroidery design. Scan the embroidery rather than taking a photo. BTW I gave you this tip a few years ago, so pardon the repetition. (I remember Michael! We could do the same with large images but everyone would complain about them loading so slow…Suz) If you blow up the jpeg you can see as much detail as you would with a magnifying glass. As you can see, I need to practice my free motion satin stitching and need to remove more jump stitches.. Mostly I used Sulky equivalents of your colors, but I added metallic accents and the eye filaments are done with # 2243 green/purple/gold variegated thread.”
I can see the sparkle Linda has included in her stitching. This must look beautiful when the light hits it. Great choice of fabric to frame it!
Linda stitched our Italian Windows of the World set. I loved creating these designs – made me want to be in far off places!!! I like the fabric Linda used around the picture – it looks like stone of some kind and continues the design. Framing can either be a continuation of your project or a way to separate and define it. Both give great effects!
Linda’s Stained Glass Wisteria. It looks like she used either Angelina or perhaps Fairy Frost Fabric.
Linda did a beautiful job on two of Ching Chou’s designs. I love the detail of quilting you did Linda!!! Gorgeous.
Linda did a really great job framing this design. The various colors bring out the colors in the wolf.
“Attached are pics of my 12 Days of Christmas quilt. It was suppose to be finished for Christmas but I ran into problems with my embroidery machine threader and it had to go to dealer. Also, I had a problem with the trees being too dense and the thread breaking but with a little patience I was able to complete it.
The design blocks were of a gold fleck cotton on which I used my Digitizer program to stipple around the designs in gold metallic thread. The coordinating backing and red border also have gold metallic in them.
On the back I created a label with information to, for and date. I think you will find the quilt pleasing. Carolyn”
NOTE FROM SUZ: The trees are dense and especially on a background of more than one layer of fabric. I recommend just slowing down the machine during the tree areas.
