Hi Suz, Good afternoon.

Your designs are just amazing!! I am sending a picture (as promised) of the Tiffany Peacock, sorry the picture isn’t better I think I am getting a glare off the lake. As I mentioned earlier, you can see the colours are spot on if compared with the actual stained glass. I am very pleased with how it turned out, and this one is just for me. Friends and family see what I have done and now they all want one. I have also found that working on the designs (and e mails back and forth with you) I have also learned more.

Good morning. Here is the latest in my adaptation of your awesome design, BFC 1409, Oriental Cranes. I have had the background fabric in my stash half way to forever knowing someday I would find the perfect use for it. Obviously your design was it. I did some simple quilting on the backgroud fabric before I did the embroidery and after I did some design placement with a template. Then once the design was finished I outlined stitched the design for a little more definition.. Thanks so much for all you do. Until next time, happy stitching!

Alta’s Snowy Egret

I did this one for me! I stitched out the nest and twigs twice. Once directly on fabric then again on tulle so it would be dimensional. Free motioned the tulle pieces on top of original on fabric for thickness. Let one twig hang out at bottom!!! Then cut out a bunch of leaves and ironed them on like you had done! Wrapped finished scene around a canvas wrapped picture frame from Michael’s!

This is absolutely gorgeous Alta. I love the idea of stitching the branches twice. That method could be used for so many things. A really beautiful picture of the Egret. Suz

This was the first design I ever bought from BFC and the first ever of this size in all my years of embroidering. It did not disappoint!! How gorgeous and detailed! The layers of colors, as if bringing the pheasant to life! The instructions were clear and easy to repeat, even for my first time of rehooping within a design. The stitching is museum worthy!!! Hi Suz, Have sewn the peacock and I am really pleased with it. As I love silk this has been sewn on silk. I used the old method of lining up designs with the basting stitched lines directly on the silk. A few changes to thread colours also as I just used what I had here; so he’s a special ‘hybrid’ bird!

The way you have finished this embroidery, Colleen, makes it look so rich! This set, done in November of 2008 was the first large design I split and put together using the BFC Method. So many people have done our large designs successfully! And they report the process is really easy. Suz

Hi Suz,

Finally finished my handbag (template from BFC1250) using BFC1374-11 with Glitter. Mirror-imaged BFC1374-12 and adjusted the size to fit the pocket piece for the back. I used brown glitter from the first set of 14 colors that I ordered though I was undecided – all the colors were so pretty! Fabric used was antique satin from Sylvia. My zipper was a bit too long and I ended up with bag having a slightly lop-sided top 🙂

Thanks, Suz, for the beautiful designs and instructions for the bag. How do you find time to embroider and sew out all the projects for the designs you digitize? It took me more than 2 days to finish my handbag and I had the instructions for the bag which I had made before.

Would love to ‘show off’ the Stained Glass Peacock that I had posted to our Group photo album in March. I used Aurora Crystalina and Silver Iris angelina fibres but as I didn’t have Cobalt Blue fibres, I cut very fine strips of the film to bond them together. The film is easier to use but the fibres have the extra sparkle to make the design ‘pop’. With your clear instructions and photos, the designs were easy to put together and I enjoyed watching the pieces sew out.
